From Farm to Forestry – Based in the Cambridgeshire countryside, Millworks has a family history that stretches back to the 1600s.

As a family-owned business, our roots began in farming and have evolved through generations to embrace a new era of innovation in the timber industry. In 2016 a combination of entrepreneurial spirit and a desire for transformation led us to diversify from traditional farming and establish Millworks Ltd.

Having spent time living in Canada, immersed in the vast forestry landscapes, our founder sought to make specialist timber more accessible and create solutions that combined striking aesthetics with lasting durability and sustainability. From the outset, Millworks received invaluable support from seasoned milling professionals which, paired with our commitment to research and development, was instrumental in our growth.

Utilising the existing farm buildings, our manufacturing hub has been continually upgraded to house a modern sawmill and extensive yard space allowing for large stock holdings. Our location offers the advantage of efficient distribution across the UK and maintains our historic commitment to supplying locally manufactured goods.
