Southern Grandis®

Southern Grandis® is an FSC® plantation grown, clear grade hardwood exclusive to Millworks in the UK. Trees are ready to harvest once grown up to 70 metres tall and up to 250cm wide, based on a 23-30 year rotation. This means that Southern Grandis® is incredibly sustainable and the fibre produced is consistent; perfectly suited for high-end use.

Southern Grandis® Grading

Millworks Grade A

Millworks A Grade timber is one of our highest grades, featuring flat-sawn boards that showcase unique and interesting grain patterns. This grade is characterized by long, clear sections of timber with limited isolated defects, such as small knots and splits. 

Grain pattern: The flat-sawn configuration produces distinctive and appealing grain patterns, adding visual interest to each board. 

Defect limitations: Limited isolated defects ensure a largely clear appearance, making this grade suitable for premium applications.

Southern Grandis® Applications
