Cedar cladding battens

Cambridge based architects Chadwickdryerclarke approached Millworks to supply Western Red Cedar cladding for this contemporary extension.

Millworks supplied samples in the design stage and discussed timber treatment options.

The best grade of Western Red Cedar was chosen (no 2 clear and better). The Cedar battens were planed all round (PAR) to 43x43mm, to create a clean and striking look. Full lengths of timber were supplied in set lengths, for quick installation and added aesthetic appeal.

OSMO Clear UV was then applied to the cladding battens, maintaining the amazing array of Cedars natural colours.
