Contemporary

Siberian Larch decking has colour tones from pale reddish-brown to golden brown. Once weathered the colour will be a subtle grey. Straight grained, with tight annual rings and a planed smooth profile which gives an attractive, contemporary look.

Versatility

Siberian Larch is very dense at approx 590kg per m3. This characteristic makes it hard wearing, perfect for decking and cladding on high traffic areas. Suited to commercial projects, or residential alike.

Durability

Siberian Larch decks have a maintenance free service life, due to natural resin and extracts in the wood. The high density makes it one of the toughest and most durable softwoods available. Siberian Larch decking is in accordance with BS EN 350-2 Class 3.

Stability

Siberian Larch decking is dimensionally stable due to controlled kiln drying at source, from a selected grade and considered dimensions making the deck optimum for its intended environment.

Millworks Sawfalling

This grade allows some large and a high amount of knots in some boards, yet there is no compromise on durability and is well suited to timber decking with an over all clean appearance.

As classified by BS1186:3 Class 2

Siberian Larch decking in the correct conditions will weather to a silver-grey, if left untreated.
Although naturally durable, Siberian Larch decking can be finished for protection against the elements. This will keep it looking consistent on all areas of your deck. Millworks can advise on different options for protecting your timber.

When specified, fire retardant can be applied to Siberian Larch decking and cladding, to comply with Building Regulations. This can be applied under controlled conditions in a vacuum pressure timber impregnation plant.

Stainless-steel fixings should be used because natural oils in the timber have a corrosive effect on ferrous metals. Millworks recommend Millfix TX15, Face Fix decking screws for a tight, crisp finish.
