Finished with a smooth planed surface texture that emphasises the grain pattern of the board, and left uncoated so that over time, it will age naturally to a silver-grey.

Douglas Fir is an attractive and sustainable timber that is very well suited to interior applications. Slow grown in The Pacific North West of Canada and sourced from PEFC™ certified forests, it offers a perfect balance of natural beauty and robust performance, making it an excellent choice for a wide range of projects, from traditional buildings to striking modern architecture.

Dimensional stability – Kiln dried at source, Douglas Fir has excellent dimensional stability, making it less prone to warping, twisting or cupping.

Hardwearing – With its high resin content, Douglas Fir is one of the most hardwearing softwoods, making it perfect for interior wall and ceiling cladding with a long, maintenance free service life.

Natural beauty – Douglas Fir has a distinctive, tight grain pattern and warm tones ranging from pale cream to pinkish-brown. Its natural appearance and texture helps connect spaces to the natural environment, promoting relaxation and wellbeing.

Sustainability – Sourced from responsibly managed, PEFC™ certified forests, Douglas Fir supports sustainable forestry practices and is an eco-conscious choice for residential and commercial interior projects.
