BCLarch® is inherently durable, thanks to naturally occurring resins and oils, making it a reliable choice for outdoor applications such as cladding and fencing. It’s resistance to rot, decay, and insect damage means that BCLarch® retains its structural integrity to deliver long-lasting performance. Similar in density to Siberian Larch, BCLarch® is hardwearing and straightforward to work with, allowing for precision in cutting, shaping, and finishing. Millworks profiles are designed with the natural movement of timber in mind and BCLarch® is available in a range of profiles to 118mm. Due to the movement class face-fixing is advisable to ensure secure installation.

Aesthetically appealing

BCLarch® features a warm palette ranging from light yellow to golden brown which enhances both contemporary and traditional designs. Each board is graded to Millworks B/C grade, offering a blend of clearer boards alongside those with sound knots. This grade arises from the natural cutting process and the way the timber “falls” from the saw, resulting in a diverse array of characteristics within each board and providing unique visual appeal.

BCLarch® is adaptable to a wide range of architectural styles and desired aesthetics. Left uncoated, it ages gracefully to a silver-grey patina. For consistent weathering, OrganoWood® coatings provide a uniform silver-grey appearance along with robust protection against adverse weathering and fungal decay. For those seeking to retain or enhance its natural tones, MillCoat® wood stain can be applied under controlled factory conditions, ensuring a rich finish while preserving the timber’s grain and texture.
