Durability
Western Red Cedar has a long, maintenance free service life, due to naturally occurring compounds called Thujaplicins and water-soluble phenolics that act as preservatives. As a result, Western Red Cedar is renowned for its high decay-resistance, making it a great option for gardening fencing. Western Red Cedar is BSEN350:2 Class 2.
Stability
Western Red Cedar is very dimensionally stable, due to its low density and low shrinkage factor. As a result, it resists warping, twisting and checking making it among the easiest of timbers to work with. Most importantly, this means Western Red Cedar is superior in resisting movement away from fixings.

All profiles can be purchased in packs with the same width boards for consistency, or mix and match with random width boards.
All profiles are MW Select Grade.
This grade of Western Red Cedar is a great value combination of grades allows the most attractive pieces to be most prominently placed.
If left untreated Western Red Cedar fencing will weather to a silver-grey. Although naturally durable, Western Red Cedar can be finished for further protection against the elements. Take at look at our factory coatings for more information.
Stainless-steel fixings should be used because natural oils in the timber have a corrosive effect on ferrous metals. Millworks Millfix TX15 Screws are specifically designed to ensure long service life for best performance of the timber and coatings in any location.
PROFILES
Designed and manufactured in-house using precision CAD technology. Millworks® profiles feature 3mm radius to corners, countersunk screw grooves and 9 degree slopes to all surfaces. This enables maximum service life to coatings, increased performance and precise installation using Millfix™.
