WHITE OAK PANELLING

Quercus alba

Millworks White Oak is sourced from Eastern America and kiln dried for internal use. Light in colour with a tight, straight grain pattern, this species provides classic detailing for interior projects and when paired with a factory coating is our most versatile internal product.

  • Grade: Millworks FAS

  • Widths (19mm): 43mm, 68mm, 93mm, 143mm or 193mm. (Bespoke widths available on request).
  • Density: 760kg / m³

Traditional

White Oak has been used for many years due to its attractive and hardwearing nature. Despite being a traditional material with relatively few knots, Oak lends itself to a contemporary look.

Versatility

White Oak is very dense at 760kg per m3. This characteristic makes it hard wearing, perfect for high traffic areas. Suited to commercial projects, or residential alike.

Contemporary

Despite Oak being used for millennia in a traditional way, Millworks grade, profiling and factory coatings can produce a top end contemporary finish for a range of projects.

Stability

Millworks Oak is kiln dried at source, making the moisture content optimum for its intended environment, which also achieves a superior finish when machined to any profile.

Grade Millworks FAS

This grade of White Oak has a limited amount of knots resulting in a largely clear board suitable for high quality mouldings and joinery.

Environmentally friendly, water-based coatings offered in a wide range of colours.

Applied under controlled conditions to all 4 sides of each board, Millcoat Factory Coatings enhance the natural characteristics of the timber and provide consistent colour and finish for your project.

Surface textures are recommended when coating with Millcoat to improve performance and enable enhanced adhesion and product longevity. Custom RAL coatings can be specified.

FRX Exterior fire retardant can be applied to White Oak cladding when specified, to comply with national Building Regulations where Euroclass B or C are required. Applied under controlled conditions in a vacuum pressure timber impregnation plant. The treatment complies with ISO accreditation, which does not compromise critical properties such as strength, durability, corrosivity and hygroscopicity.

Specifically manufactured stainless-steel fixings, available in secret-fix, face-fix or clip systems, are designed for Millworks® timber cladding and decking profiles. Our fixings ensure long service life for best performance of the timber and coatings in any location. Full details available on specification data sheet.
