Factory coated Douglas Fir cladding

Adding light, warmth and character to this project, Douglas internal panelling is well suited to contemporary design. Designed by award winning Mole Architects this Douglas Fir interior panelling, factory coated in white wash, was selected for it’s outstanding clear grade and sustainability. Sourced from PEFC™ forests, this North American kiln dried clear grade softwood is best known for notable grade, durability and strength, making it a great long term decorating solution.

Using Millworks state of the art finishing line, each board was factory coated with environmentally friendly, water-based coating. The Millcoat™ semi-translucent ‘White Wash’ colour enhances the natural grain pattern of the wood whilst providing a bright and clean finish.

Planed clear Douglas battens were supplied and spaced with 10mm shadow-gaps. The Millfix™  face-fix system was installed with specifically designed hardened stainless steel screws at every 600mm to give consistent detailing.
