Tiny House
ThermoWood® Pine
Piil, meaning “to look”, is a unique off-grid retreat that elevates sustainable forest getaways to new heights. Thoughtfully designed to sit among the trees, this 19m² tiny house maximises both space and views while maintaining a minimal environmental footprint.
Designed for nature enthusiasts and modern travellers, Piil demonstrates how smart design, premium materials, and advanced installation techniques can harmoniously blend modern architecture with the organic beauty of the outdoors.
The project is clad in durable ThermoWood® Pine installed using the innovative secret clip system. This method ensures a flawless finish with no visible fixings, reducing installation time and simplifying long-term maintenance.
Sustainable materials were carefully selected to ensure longevity and environmental responsibility. ThermoWood® Pine, sourced from certified forests, undergoes a thermal modification process that enhances durability, stability, and resistance to decay without the use of chemicals, providing a high-performance timber capable of withstanding diverse weather conditions.
The secret clip system allows for a secure and precise alignment of boards while eliminating the need for visible screws. This not only enhances the overall visual appeal but also ensures a more resilient structure that can expand and contract naturally with environmental changes. The secret clip system also facilitates easy removal and replacement of individual boards, making future maintenance simple and cost-effective.
